Biden Miffed at “Disinformation” on Hurricanes
« on: October 10, 2024, 08:10:13 am »
The Post & Email 10/9/2024

At approximately 5:37 p.m. EDT, Joe Biden gave a scheduled address from the White House to update the public on Hurricane Milton, which is quickly heading toward Florida’s west coast and expected to make its way across the state in the coming days.

It was Biden’s second occasion to speak about the storm Wednesday, the first as he and 2024 Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris received a briefing on the impending storm.

Milton has caused a number of tornadoes, Biden said Wednesday evening. “Thousands” of federal personnel are positioned to assist victims, Biden said, including FEMA administrator Deanne Criswell.

During his three-minute evening remarks, Biden expressed frustration and accused 2024 Republican presidential nominee and 45th president Donald J. Trump of “spreading disinformation” about the government’s response to Hurricane Helene, which hit Florida and points north just under two weeks ago.

There seemed to a lot of psychological operation type hype and fear mongering about this storm.

The only disinformation I've seen has to do with the causes of the storms, not the federal government's inept response to them. Sending electric chainsaws to an area lacking power is, well, inept. Blocking private citizens from delivering food and water to their stranded neighbors, is, well, inept.

No, Hurricane Milton was not 'engineered'
Oct. 10, 2024
Mark Poynting and Marco Silva
BBC

False claims suggesting that Hurricane Milton was “engineered” and that the weather in Florida is being “manipulated” have been spreading on social media.

There is no technology that allows humans to create and control hurricanes.

But on platforms like X and TikTok, posts alleging - without evidence - that the US government is secretly controlling the weather have been viewed millions of times. ...

Some users alleged weather manipulation techniques like cloud seeding are to blame.

Cloud seeding involves manipulating existing clouds to try to produce more rain, for example in countries with a dry climate.

But the south-east of the US had already been hit by huge amounts of rainfall from Hurricane Helene, which triggered deadly flooding in several states just two weeks ago.

“When we cloud seed, it is because we do not have enough aerosols or water vapor within the atmosphere to see condensation occur, so we try and force it through cloud seeding,” says Jill Trepanier, an expert in extreme weather phenomena from Louisiana State University. ...

Noted scientist Sandy from the Suburbs Cortez weighs in:

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
@AOC
The hurricane “machine” is climate change.
Cooler ocean temperatures slow hurricane development.
As temps rise, more hurricanes grow. The Gulf of Mexico is a major location for warming water.
The people who bear responsibility are fossil fuel co’s + the politicians they buy.

That Sandy sure has a big brain.  Bigger than Jethro Bodine, a noted cypher and double naught spy.
You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.

Does Biden care about the "disinformation" spread by FEMA, though? I doubt it.

The Panic Over an Imaginary Militia 'Hunting FEMA' Did More Damage Than the Actual Threat
Someone did allegedly threaten first responders, but the panic may have done more damage.
Matthew Petti | 10.25.2024 10:00 AM
Reason

It was a bone-chilling report. As North Carolinians reeled from the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) suddenly ordered emergency workers "to stand down and evacuate" Rutherford County due to reports of "trucks of armed militias saying they were out hunting FEMA," The Washington Post reported on October 13, based on an email obtained from the U.S. Forest Service.

The threat turned out to be something less serious. On October 14, the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of one man, William Jacob Parsons, for making a "comment about possibly harming FEMA employees" while armed with an assault rifle. Law enforcement concluded that "Parsons acted alone and there was no truck loads of militia," according to a statement quoted in The Washington Post.

Parsons told the BBC that he was not a member of any militia, he had not threatened any federal officials, and he was there to help distribute supplies to hurricane victims. ...

What we do know from interviews of victims of both hurricanes Milton and Helen is that FEMA has been non-existent with help.  Sure they've set up an armed FEMA camp supposedly to house FEMA workers, but are they actually helping the people?? Reports from hurricane victims are stating that they have received help from public donors, charitable groups and neighbors, but not FEMA.

So whether or not there's been a militia attacking or going after FEMA, I suppose it is plausible, but I would think that those affected by the hurricane wouldn't have the time to waste on them. They'd be more interested in trying to survive as they struggle to rebuild.

The dementia has rotted POTUS brain so badly, I doubt the emotion or action of being "miffed" is valid.

At least they can be honest with us at the end, and say it is Kamerl-uh or his handlers.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.
