I guess the Army didn't learn it's lesson from the Stryker. While the heavy 60+ ton battle tanks *probably* are obsolete due to drone technology, some type of mobile armored cavalry will be necessary to fight future wars if ground is expected to be seized and held, or retaken during maneuver warfare. I remember when JCS Chairman Admiral Crowe came right out and said that he wanted to end procurement of the M1A1 because the Navy was sick and tired of hauling them around the world for the Army. LOL! Desert Storm shut him up.
