With four weeks to go ’til D-Day for the parasitic blob (the US Election), the headlines today are biblical hellfire with photos. Earth’s vital signs have hit record extremes they tell us. In all the years we’ve been recording things, which is practically nothing, storms, floods, droughts and the mental health of jellyfish have never been worse, which is obviously why food crops are higher than ever before, the Earth is greening and more humans are alive than have ever existed.

Like soothsayers with chicken entrails, captive scientists are squawking disaster like their funding depends on it:

I don't care how dirty the air in Michigan is today, it is pristine compared to what it was 60 years ago when you could see and smell factory pollution. :yowsa:

I'm still waiting for the Rapture of the 1990s.

2023's Canadian wildfire smoke in the Northeast reminded me of the Smog Days / Hazardous Air Warnings which were a normal part of Summer during the 1970s through early 1980s.  We'd expect 2 -3 weeks of such warnings each Summer.  Now, we go years, if not decades, between such warnings.

We are making progress, but not fast enough for radical revolutionary Green Communists.

That "pollution" was the result of JOBS and manufacturing "from the raw materials up".

I see "pride of occupation" in that engineer standing there. And those old camelbacks must have been hard to work on. The engineer was alone, sitting in the middle of the boiler on the other side. The fireman was on the tiny platform in the back, exposed to the elements, with two firebox doors to keep filled...

Learn from the Great Depression - many people didn't realize or want to admit we were in one till we were a couple of years in. Everyone always want to have the positive attitude, and that's typical historically of those kids of big negative events.

I suspect the next one will be the same till it really starts falling apart - and then they will panic.

That is total and utter bullshit, and "Prof." Ripple knows that.

The Earth is still in an ice age, and so it should be warming.  The only people who need to offer extraordinary explanations are those who insist that it should not warm any further - that an ice age is the "normal" climate for Earth, despite all of the historical evidence to the contrary.
