Harris goes on offense over Trump-Putin revelations from Woodward book

.

Vice President Kamala Harris lit into her opponent over accusations detailed in a new Bob Woodward book as former President Donald Trump fiercely denies their accuracy.

“I believe that Donald Trump has this desire to be a dictator,” she said during an interview with Howard Stern. “He admires strong men, and he gets played by them because he thinks that they’re his friends. They are manipulating him full time and manipulating him by flattery and with favor.”

Woodward, whose coverage of the Watergate scandal brought down the Nixon administration more than 50 years ago, writes in his new book, War, that Trump has had as many as seven phone calls with Russian President Vladimir Putin since leaving office in early 2021. The book also charges that Trump secretly sent Putin COVID-19 tests during the height of the pandemic.

“People were dying by the hundreds,” Harris said of the COVID-19 tests claim. “Everybody was scrambling to get these kits, the tests, the COVID test kits, couldn’t get them, couldn’t get them anywhere. And this guy who was president of the United States is sending them to Russia to a murderous dictator for his personal use?”

Well, there you have it.

With the Left's penchant for projection, and their track record for accusing others of what they, themselves, are doing, we know now what before we merely suspected.

Kamala wants to be The Queen/El Supremo/Il Duche, der fuhreress.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Bob Woodward lost any credibility when he got on the bandwagon of hate Trump, which happened some time ago.

Frankly, the pandemic affected the whole world.  The people of the world were turning to the USA for answers.  Trump having sent test kits to Russia, I have no problem with that.  I am sure we probably sent test kits to almost every country in the world that requested them.  As a world leader, Trump was leading.

Where I have trouble with Trump is his continuing to keep Dr. Anthony Mengele Fauci in a key role through the whole process when it was apparent to the brain dead that Fauci was a complete total phony, incompetent!  Millions died in the world because of this self serving bureaucratic puke.  If I had my way, Dr. Fauci would face charges for mass genocide, since it was his work that funded gain of function research, against the stated objection by President Obama that we, the USA would no longer be involved in gain of function research.

Fauci took millions of taxpayer money, channeled those dollars to his buddy Dasic(spelling) so that he could have deniability, and he fostered the gain of function research in China to produce a product to kill a specific segment of the population.  Now, Hitler would have loved Fauci for his success.

This criminal has been given the opportunity to retire and receive a huge pension, walk free, when he should face charges for mass genocide.

Despite the above, I plan to vote for Trump again.  I do not hold Trump responsible for COVID, I hold Dr. Fauci, our corrupt criminal media, and many Democrats in power who despite having advice of how to protect certain demographics, chose to expose those demographics at risk which resulted in many unnecessary deaths in the USA, i.e. Gov Andrew Cuomo, who placed folks with COVID in senior facilities, which resulted in the spread of the disease among the most vulnerable demographic, killing thousands.

I concur with your assessment, especially of the COVID massacre (and the subsequent violations of the Nuremberg Code against medical experimentation without full disclosure and informed consent).

As for Woodward, he has the credibility of one of those e-mails from a Nigerian Prince promising they will share their inherited fortune with you if you just give them enough money to collect it... That still fools a few people, but I can't for the life of me figure out why.

Agree.

Sadly, they target seniors.  Why?  Because enough of them are addled enough that they can be convinced to buy anything, swamp land in Florida, and helping a poor prince obtain his inheritance.

I know one such person in his 80s, was a lawyer no less, a very successful lawyer, that sent well over $100,000 to Nigeria and the poor prince, before his children were able to intercede.  It was very sad to see.

Seniors are still suffering from the following:

The deeply held belief that something that was not true would not be broadcast on television. Unfortunately, the only commitment to the truth is that their viewers who are aware of being lied to would abandon them. But to reach that point, someone has to be made aware that they are being lied to, and with the media mostly in collusion, that becomes problematical.  Huntley and Brinkley have been gone for a long time, and with them, any semblance of honesty in media.

Belief in the inherent goodness of all people.
Maybe there was a time, but it isn't now. It's hard not to be a sucker for a pretty face or a sad story, but so often you're just being lied to. The guy in rags on the corner begging for spare change may be back home, washed up, kicked back in his lazy-Boy and watching the big screen after 'work'. Yes some are hurting, but there are scammers everywhere, and unfortunately, the scammers make life harder for the ones really in distress.

The belief that those in Government are doing anything to serve the public. That varies wildly, but more often than not it seems they are in the self-serve lane, serving themselves.
It takes so much money to campaign that there is no way the average candidate doesn't owe some favors when the dust settles. (Unless they are wealthy enough to fund it themselves or rely on small donations, which can be gaslighted in like Obama did).

Coupled with the above, the belief that Government will pull their chestnuts out of the fire before they are mere cinders. As ever, we are better off to rely on ourselves and each other than those who would deem themselves the ruling class, and many of the flunkies they have assembled in ranks below them. We are, truly, on our own.

Recognizing the above doesn't change much, but it doesn't leave us gobsmacked when we're in a bind or expecting benevolence from anyone but ourselves, and it cuts down on getting 'taken' by the latest scam, officially or privately perpetrated.  Especially those of us who have more time, who are 'retired', have a duty, if only to ourselves, to call out the scams and BS and try to keep the process and those elected by it honest.

There is not but a handful of news sources in the USA I trust.  At the top of my list, One America News Network.

And there is a new network, called THE FIRST.  It has what I consider to be the best journalist in America, and she was formerly on OAN, Liz Wheeler.  Sharp as a tack, and always asks questions that address major issues.  She pulls no punch.

Would love to see her moderate a debate.  Both candidates would need to bring their A game.
