The interesting bit is the bit since the end of the last Ice Age. But if you look at just that, it still shows it's been warmer most of the time than it is now. (There was a recent analysis of Greenland ice cores just for the Holocene, noted over at No Tricks Zone, that shows that.) That it was warmer when dinosaurs roamed the earth is not that helpful since balmy for dinosaurs could well be life-threateningly hot for humans. We were around for the whole bit since the last Ice Age (and before) and did fine when it was warmer (not as well during the Ice Ages, though we managed).
