Biden won’t support a strike on Iran nuclear sites as Israel weighs response to Iran missile attack

JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. (AP) — President Joe Biden said Wednesday he will not support an Israeli strike on sites related to Tehran’s nuclear program in response to Iran’s missile attack on Israel.

“The answer is no,” Biden told reporters when asked if he would support such retaliation after Iran fired about 180 missiles at Israel on Tuesday.

Biden’s comments came after he and fellow Group of Seven leaders from Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom spoke by telephone about coordinating new sanctions against Iran.

We allegedly invaded Iraq in 2003 because Dick Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz, Donald Rumsfeld, and a gullible Colin Powell hoodwinked Congress and the UN into belieiving Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction.  But, Iran having nukes is cool beans?

Iran wants nukes for deterrence (America doesn't invade countries with nukes) and to destroy the Great Satans (America, Israel, USSR?).

Best thing to do is obliterate their hydrocarbon industry....  from well to dock and pipeline.

This will fully cripple their economy, instead of stiring up a hornets nest by possibly creating a nuclear fallout cloud in that kind of attack.  Now that would be a PR nightmare.

Forget sanctions.  We know how they circumvent that.

I don't know about anyone else, but the longer the Israelis wait, the stronger the response will be.  Because, of likely more complex planning and execution.
