But I am going to disagree about the description of this soldier as an "orc". He was most likely an honorable soldier simply following orders, just like countless thousands of others on both sides....

No matter how much 'ideology' was stuffed in the head of that soldier, or whether he was just press-ganged (conscripted), to end your life as just another terrified bastard getting blown apart in the mud is no fate I would wish on any but those guilty of the most heinous crimes. As you said, most of them are just doing what they are told, often with a gun pointed at their back if they fail.

It's not.  Zelensky just had no real interest in talking to Carlson after Carlson went all the way to Moscow to kiss Putin's posterior.

Thank you for posting. I never had a chance to see real Russia like that, especially recently. But it's not all 'candy and roses'.

Word of warning. Russia/Poland and Eastern Europe changes at night. It is dangerous to be out on the street late at night as a Westerner. Some people there will kill you for your phone, shoes, and wallet, just like in NYC or Chicago.

Well, it turns out that the places that Carlson visited and raved about were just a block or two from the Kremlin and frequented by the Russian government elite.  Hence, their pristine condition and prime stock.  The trains and grocery stores throughout the rest of Russia are not as nice, being progressively worse the further they are away from Moscow.

This aid has been "pledged" several times already, but never seems to make its way to the Ukrainian defense forces.  The entire $61 billion made its way directly into State Department (not Defense Department) accounts some time last May.  Where it went from there is anyone's guess.
