EXCLUSIVE: Authorities say an Eastern European theft ring is targeting Indian Americans living in places like Redmond and Sammamish. And these criminals are operating across the Eastside. This is the latest incident captured on surveillance video just a couple days ago.

Here's how the hustle works. The victims tell me two women usually step out of a vehicle, kiss their hands and touch their feet, then distract them by putting a cheap strand of beads around their neck. But that's when the thief rips off the valuable necklace and takes off. The Indian diaspora is the wealthiest minority group in America and known to wear gold jewelry for religious or ceremonial reasons. Criminals know this.

Suspects are described as two middle aged White females of Eastern European descent. One of the victims described them as "Gypsy women."
