Donald Trump Vows to Prosecute Google at ‘Maximum Levels’ for Election Interference

Lucas Nolan 28 Sep 2024

Former President Donald Trump threatened on Friday that he will request the criminal prosecution of Google “at maximum levels” when he returns to office, accusing the tech giant of “illegal activity” through its bias against him in search results.

In a post on Truth Social, the former president claimed that Google “has illegally used a system of only revealing and displaying bad stories about Donald J. Trump” while simultaneously “only revealing good stories about Comrade Kamala Harris.”

The post continues, “This is an ILLEGAL ACTIVITY, and hopefully the Justice Department will criminally prosecute them for this blatant Interference of Elections. If not, and subject to the Laws of our Country, I will request their prosecution, at the maximum levels, when I win the Election, and become President of the United States!”

Donald hasn't learned much if he thinks that the justice department will prosecute Google. Certainly he should realize and remember how corrupt the justice system is.

Why do you think Google should be prosecuted? Because Trump says so? It seems he'd like to put everybody who he thinks doesn't like him into prison.
Don't you think there might be something wrong with someone who wants to put so many people who don't like him into prison?

This might work for him, as he does have Standing with owning Truth Socialist and all.

  • Dems-greatest existential threat to USA republic!
The time has come to break all the huge tech companies:  Microsoft, Google, Facebook(and whatever they are called now), and penalize them for any activity associated with censorship to the tune of seizing all profit for a three year period.  One year is not enough to cause pain!

If you censor anything politically, you forfeit profits for three years.  That will wake them the f*** up!!!

So, you want to punish private entities for not liking Trump. Is that the gist of your argument?

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
I would settle for some truth in advertising. Just put a disclaimer that search results may be filtered by the political bias of the site, in plain view and not buried in the terms of use.
When we remove the ability to filter or moderate content, anything goes, and that might be a bad thing, too. Just proclaim the bias and not pretend it isn't present.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Don't you think it might be a very bad idea for a presidential candidate to publicly state that he would like to throw people into prison just because they don't like him?
Don't you think that might be something some South American commie jerk might say but a presidential candidate should never say?
