There will be a doomsday scenario, no matter what.
They'll obstruct and delay every step of the process to gum up the election process and the courts to get the election to be decided by the US House.
1.) They'll attempt to delay vote tabulation/certification at the precinct level, and file lawsuits.
2.) They'll attempt to delay vote tabulation/certification at the ward level, and file lawsuits.
3.) They'll attempt to delay vote tabulation/certification at the municipal level, and file lawsuits.
4.) They'll attempt to delay vote tabulation/certification at the county level, and file lawsuits.
5.) They'll attempt to delay vote tabulation/certification at the state level, and file lawsuits.
6.) They will flood courts, at all levels, with lawsuits in hopes of exceeding constitutionally and legally mandated dates for vote counts, certifications, and the Electoral College.
7.) They'll use the chaos as an excuse to have the election decided by the US House of Reps where the GOP has the majority number of state delegations.
There is the possibility of mobs assaulting election facilities to obstruct the counting by violence, terror, and sabotage.
Towns, counties, and states would do well to have a strong police presence at polling stations and counting stations. Ballots should be transported in armored cars in fireproof lock boxes with police escorts. Elections officials should have bullet proof vests, conduct their work behind bullet-proof glass, and have police protection for officials, their homes, and their families. Tactical teams, the National Guard, utility crews, and fire departments should be on alert and standby from Election Day through the Inauguration.
