Most B-1s were not mothballed at Davis-Monthan, something I'm pretty sure I've pointed out at least once before.

You probably think that for the same reason most don’t even know how involved it has been in our “wars”.  It has not been ballyhooed at all and especially bad since the B2 came on-line.  That gets all the attention, and I’ve noticed the same for some of our true workhorse fighters as well.

My father worked heavily on its electronics from the beginning.  Retired still in the “group”, complete with honorary photo and model of the B1B.

I only worked on 1 rehash of a component for it, which was just like the F16 except a couple key elements.
