Kamala Harris campaign agrees to do a second debate, this time on CNN

The proposed debate would take place on Oct. 23. Trump said earlier this month that there would not be any more debates. As of now he has not responded to the Harris campaign statement.

Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris's campaign says that she has agreed to do another presidential campaign debate, this time on CNN.

The proposed debate would take place on Oct. 23, according to Deadline.

"The American people deserve another opportunity to see Vice President Kamala Harris and Donald Trump debate before they cast their ballots," Harris's campaign chairwoman Jen O’Malley Dillon said in a statement.

Trump said earlier this month that there would not be any more debates.

“Vice President Harris is ready for another opportunity to share a stage with Donald Trump, and she has accepted CNN’s invitation to a debate on October 23. Donald Trump should have no problem agreeing to this debate," O'Malley Dillon's statement continued.

As of now Trump has not responded to the Harris campaign statement.

If Trump prepares this time correctly it would be awesome for him to walk into the lion's den again and beat the crap out of her. Then again forcing her to a FOX News debate would also be awesome.

I think he controls the leverage here, either demand a FOX news debate, or a CNN debate with many and heavy restrictions.

Other than do a debate with fair-minded moderators like he had with the debate against Brandon, he would be a fool to do another debate with her. I believe things are looking pretty well for him in the swing states, primarily PA and MI. He gets his behind handed to him in another debate and it will definitely decrease his chances of winning the oval office.

He's been shot at twice -- the left's recourse is either make another attempt on his life or rig a debate so he looks like a complete buffoon who is losing his marbles.

That's not exactly what I'm saying; what I am saying is that the debate needs to be moderated fairly.  His first debate against Blossom was skewed.

The first debate against Brandon (though he was out of it) was fair for both sides.  Trump shouldn't settle for any less.

I am of the opinion that any opportunity to Democrat Party fascism on a national stage should be relished.  I see people like Ben Shapiro, Michael Knowles, and Charlie Kirk enter the enemy camp all the time and come out making a mockery of the left.  The fact that Trump is incapable of doing this himself speaks volumes.

Will the deck be stacked against him?  Of course.  Can he use that to his advantage?  Absolutely.  Again and again.  Anything short of them blacking his screen out and cutting his mike gives him the opportunity to confront her absolute lack of substance and direct the conversation to what really matters - the next four years.  But that would mean Trump would have to restrain himself from talking about how perfect he was four years ago.  Unfortunately, his ego lacks that restraint.

So in short, Trump should not debate because he doesn't know how to debate.  In fact he is so bad that he has been beaten by both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.  And that is a very poor track record.  It's too bad that we don't have a real Republican candidate to represent us in that type arena.

I beg to differ. He did not lose the debate to Brandon. He did very well and it was a good formatted debate for both.

I was talking about 2020.  Trump did marginally beat Brandon earlier this year.  Probably his best debate ever.  But that's not saying much against someone with full blown dementia.

WASHINGTON - Former President Donald Trump declined a CNN invitation to debate Vice President Kamala Harris for a second time on Oct. 23, less than two weeks before Election Day.

Trump told supporters at a rally in Wilmington, North Carolina, Saturday that "It's just too late - voting has already started." He also said he's "already done two" debates, and questioned whether CNN would be fair to him.

Harris had accepted CNN’s invitation on Saturday, sharing in a tweet that she hopes the former president would join her.
