New York magazine political reporter Olivia Nuzzi and former presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. “weren’t being particularly careful” about keeping their alleged emotional entanglement a secret, sources told The Post of the bombshell revelation.

Nuzzi, 31, and the Kennedy scion, 70, were quite blasé about the inappropriate relationship and “may have told a lot of people” before it was publicly outed on Thursday, a source dished to The Post.

“They weren’t being particularly careful. There’s a reason New York mag found out,” the source explained.

Nuzzi was placed on leave from the magazine after “she had engaged in a personal relationship with a former subject relevant to the 2024 campaign while she was reporting on the campaign, a violation of the magazine’s standards around conflicts of interest and disclosures,” the publication said Thursday.

If true, I'll be surprised if RFK,Jr denies it. He admits to everything. Whether he should or not, and even brings them up himself. He has even said he was a "dog" at times.

I don't agree with a lot of his policies, but I don't think the guy is a huge liar. Of course, I've been proven wrong before.

New York Magazine reporter Olivia Nuzzi stunned the political world when she confessed to having an inappropriate “personal relationship” with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is married, while covering him during his presidential campaign.

Nuzzi, who was engaged at the time of the “relationship,” claimed it wasn’t physical, and a rep for RFK Jr. said the two only met in person once, leading many to ask how they could have gotten so close. The pair may have been engaged in an “emotional affair,” experts say, and it’s more common than you might think.

“An emotional affair is when one partner starts forming a deep, emotional bond with someone outside their relationship. It’s not just a regular friendship; it often involves a level of intimacy and secrecy that can destroy a relationship or marriage,” Amber Soletti, dating and relationship expert and founder of Single and the City, told The Post.

Status News broke the story of Olivia Nuzzi and Kennedy. Originally it only mentions a “romantic relationship”.

Who tf is Status News do you ask?

Oliver Darcy, formerly of CNN, on a bare bones blog style website. It’s then picked up on X by Brian Stelter of you guessed it, CNN (and surprise surprise, Vanity Fair).

After they set the internet of fire with claims of an affair, it’s then clarified that the relationship was never physical, but rather “emotional and digital in nature”. Sounds made up but ok.

But you can’t unring a bell, which is why it was released without that detail initially.

Kennedy claims they’ve only ever met once, for an interview that turned out to be a hit piece. Just like this entire story now.

TL;DR CNN is still trash and Olivia Nuzzi is on leave for having a crush on RFK Jr.

New York magazine reporter Olivia Nuzzi was “obsessed” with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. after interviewing him in California, and pursued him via text to the point where he had to repeatedly block her, a source close to Kennedy’s camp told The Post.

“She went after him aggressively,” the source said Saturday. “She targeted him pretty hard. Bobby was blocking her continually. It was a little scary. She was obsessed with him. I think she still is.”

Nuzzi’s camp pushed back on allegations the situation was a “Fatal Attraction” type of scenario or that she instigated the relationship — but did not deny that the digital fling was tumultuous, suggesting both parties may have stopped texting each other at times.

“It’s absolutely untrue that she was the aggressor, but both parties were aware of how high pressure and high risk the circumstances were and for that reason their communication was very on and off,” a person with knowledge of the situation said.
