Analysis: Dirty Rolls Are a Key Component of Voter Fraud
« on: September 18, 2024, 07:44:13 am »
Texas Scorecard by Daniel Greer September 17, 2024

Fights over accurate rolls are unique and partisan.

Accurate voter rolls are an essential component of trustworthy elections. The inverse is also true, and election after election, one party fights to keep the rolls dirty, making elections untrustworthy.

Generally speaking, there are three areas of focus for securing elections: machines, mail-in ballots, and voter rolls.

The newest of these is having its day in the sun: machine voting. Setting the ins and outs aside, criticism of the mechanism isn’t monopolized. Both Republicans and Democrats have viewed machines skeptically at varying times.

In the early 2000s, Democrats insisted that machines were rigged to secure election victories for George W. Bush. Now, the shoe is mainly on the other foot.

Will this revert if Republicans come to power for an extended season? Perhaps, but the point is that criticism has been circumstantial.

The second area of focus, mail-in ballots, is like machines. Both parties have questioned the security of voting by mail at various times.

Democrats, including Jimmy Carter and Jerry Nadler, famously called into question the security of voting by mail and called them susceptible to fraud.

This truly is where the fraud starts. And it's not just weak election laws, it's a total lack of enforcement. We've already seen in PA where people are registering without an ID, and activist groups bring in stacks of registrations of imaginary people that aren't verified, and it goes on whether it's a Rat or Rep administration in charge.

I don't necessarily have an issue with mail-in or absentee voting if again the laws are enforced and the holes plugged. The last ones should be sent out ten days before the polls and none may be accepted after the day of. All should have an ID number tagged to the registered voter ID number. Again, not enforced.

Let's not get into chain of custody. In many states its practically ignored. If you can drive a truck from NY to PA with utterly fake ballots not even in the right format, with no ID numbers and nothing tying them to voters one the list, and accept those votes without question or scrutiny, you have a way bigger problem than just dirty rolls.

Voter fraud is multiple problems from multiple weak points in the ballot chain. It's not just a simple silver bullet fix.
The Republic is lost.
