House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) promised a second Trump administration would roll back the Green New Deal and expand the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act if former President Donald Trump is elected.

Johnson, while warning that an economy under Vice President Kamala Harris would be “Marxist,” outlined Trump’s agenda for a GOP trifecta government during a speech and discussion with Fox Business Kudlow host Larry Kudlow at the America First Policy Institute on Tuesday. He said the former president and congressional Republicans would work on “day one” to implement five key priorities.

Listed in the economic agenda are plans to build upon the tax cuts in Trump’s 2017 bill, use the tax code to secure the border, roll back both the Green New Deal and the Inflation Reduction Act, reform the education system, and root out fraud and abuse by eliminating unessential bureaucratic jobs.

“For nearly four years now, the Biden-Harris administration has engaged in what we know is a big government socialist experiment, and they’ve done it at our peril,” the speaker said. “It was always doomed to fail. Those experiments always are, but they don’t look at reality all the time.”

BS.  First off, there is not such thing as a tax break to the rich since wealth is not taxed in this country.  Second, corporations shouldn't be taxed at all.  And third, Republicans oppose national abortion laws.  Please refrain from posting Democrat Party lies on this forum.  Thanks.

When the GOP had the Presidency, the House, and the US Senate Jan, 2017 - Jan, 2019, what did they accomplish for the American people?

They helped business by rolling back regulations, but what did they do for wage earners?  They didn't rollback payroll taxes.

Workers pay a higher percentage in payroll taxes than the percentage paid Wall Street banksters for long-term capital gains and carried interest.

For wage earners, Federal Income Tax should be reduced to make the total % paid in Federal payroll taxes equal to the total % paid for long-term capital gains.

I have risked my own time and my own money to acquire the skills I have.  I should be rewarded for my capital risk and my investment in my education and my training.

Why is earned income less virtuous than capital gains?

They cowered, gave the Democrats every spending measure they wanted, and then complained they couldn't do anything because they didn't have 60+ Senate seats.  The same thing they have been doing since 2007.
