Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., predicted that Americans will be "shocked" and "appalled" when lawmakers release their interim report on the assassination attempt on former President Trump and the security failures of those involved in protecting the GOP presidential nominee.

Acting U.S. Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe provided senators with an update Thursday on the investigation into the failed assassination in a closed-door meeting.

"I think the American people are going to be shocked, astonished and appalled by what we will report to them about the failures by the Secret Service in this assassination attempt on the former president," Blumenthal told Fox News. "But I think they also ought to be appalled and astonished by the failure of the Department of Homeland Security to be more forthcoming, to be as candid and frank, as it should be to them in terms of providing information."

Blumenthal didn't go into specifics about what he learned from Thursday's meeting. Despite his statements, other lawmakers refused to comment on how the public may react to their report.

"It will be coming out shortly. And it'll only be an interim report because there's a lot more information that we need to find," Sen. Gary Peters, D-Mich., told Fox News. "And we hope once this report comes out and we can get the additional information necessary to have a complete report of what happened, as well as steps of what we need to do in the future to make sure that this never happens."

Bombshell Report: Cover-Up and Disturbing Info About Agent in Charge During Assassination Attempt

We continue to hear troubling things about the failures of security around the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump.

The media may want to brush the incident to the side as ABC did during the debate, but even Democrats like Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) are troubled by what they are hearing. After he was in a meeting with Acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe, he said that we would be shocked and appalled not only by what we will hear about Secret Service failures, but that we should also be appalled and astonished by the failure of the Department of Homeland Security to provide information. He said that they were going to insist upon the truth and they would have a report soon on it all.

Now, there's another bombshell that was just delivered from Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) on Jesse Watters' show. Hawley has been in contact with whistleblowers, and they told him that the lead Secret Service agent who had been in charge that day in Butler, Pennsylvania, failed one or more of her training exams and was "known not to be a top quality agent."

At what point should the "failures" and "incompetence" be recognized as, thankfully failed, LIHOP Let It Happen On Purpose)? I'm skeptical of conspiracy theories to the point of POing some people, but I seriously think it likely that LIEden's Secret Service and DHS intentionally left Trump under/un-protected. With worse not implausible.

The mode of secrecy and delay on this matter has exceeded conspriatorial status.  If they took a poll of right of center leaning folks, I'd venture that 6 in 10 believe it to be a governmental sponsored hit job.

I think if Sen Blementhal (another valor honor stealing fool) is FRIGHTENED by the report on the Butler attack, it spells only one thing to me. 

                          A GOVERNMENT SPONSORED ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT.

He is a part of the Democommie effort to destroy America, and just maybe he feels the splatter will fall on him too.
