(The Center Square) – With inflationary costs reaching a 40-year high under the Biden-Harris administration, President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and others in their administration have repeatedly blamed businesses, livestock producers, grocery stores, oil and natural gas companies and others for high prices.
 
At the same time, a record number of businesses closed, declared bankruptcy and laid off hundreds of thousands of workers, citing high inflationary costs. In a recent report, nearly half of all small businesses said they won’t survive a second Harris term, higher costs and increased taxes, The Center Square reported.

Despite this, Harris says she plans to implement price controls, increase taxes on businesses and allow the 2017 tax cuts to expire, creating a $6 trillion chasm between her plan and former President Donald Trump’s, the Wall Street Journal reported.
As Americans struggled with increased grocery costs, including the high cost of meat, producers were faced with higher fuel, feed, grain and hay costs, driving up their operational costs that were passed onto consumers, according to multiple reports. In response, in 2021, the White House National Economic Council blamed high meat prices on “dominant corporations in uncompetitive markets taking advantage of their market power.”

Executive orders and the Administrative State.

It (almost) all comes back to fuel costs (and energy in general). Feed? Grain? Hay? All require fuel. Fertilizer? Natural gas.  Chemical feedstock? There's petroleum again, only you have to bring it by rail or truck (more fuel) because someone has been shutting down pipeline projects from day one. Anything shipped will go up in price. If it's a precursor to the finished product, add another layer of shipping costs. Have to refrigerate it? More energy costs. Literally everything that can't be pumped through your router will cost more, because of stupid energy policy and those extra costs are passed on to YOU!

Inflation in the USA is almost always caused exclusively from the federal government spending money they have no business spending, expanding the money supply beyond the wildest of imaginations.  Elected officials are totally out of control, and the time has come for a MANDATORY BALANCED BUDGET AMENDMENT, with the only exception being a declared war by Congress. 

The last declared war was in 1941.  We have spent trillions of dollars on wars we had no business being involved with, and now we are fully funding two wars that just should not exist if we had real leadership in this nation.
