It makes the stakes even higher for Trump...he either wins the Presidency and goes back to the White House or he loses and goes to jail.  It's pretty obvious that that's what Merchan's planning to do, but was probably talked out of it by NY Dems who understand that doing so now would rile up the Republican base and ensure a Trump victory by making him a martyr.

Under New York law, judges are required to file annual financial disclosures, which are required to be made available upon request.

"The law is clear that judicial financial disclosures must be released to the public," AFL Vice President Dan Epstein told Fox News Digital. "New York’s highest court has stated that such disclosures are necessary for parties before the courts to get a fair shake."

Epstein said the public "needs to know what Judge Merchan is hiding or even if he failed to file financial disclosures at all."

"This is especially important given the fact that Merchan appears to have engaged in unlawful campaign contributions and is on the precipice of criminally sentencing the former president of the United States," Epstein said. "Fundamental fairness dictates a resolution of America First Legal’s suit in its favor."

The Kamala Harris campaign hired and paid Acting Justice Juan Merchan’s adult daughter’s company. This creates a clear violation of the New York State Judicial Code of Conduct which dictates that a judge must recuse from a case where a relative up to and including the sixth degree has a financial interest in the outcome of the case.

My statement on Acting Justice Merchan delaying President Trump's sentencing following the reopening of my ethics complaint:

"The same day I filed an official ethics complaint shedding new light on Acting Justice Merchan’s egregious conflict of interest, refusing to recuse himself despite his family’s increased financial ties to the sham Manhattan trial, he postponed President Trump’s sentencing until after the election.

This is an incredible win for the American people whose right to choose their president has been under attack from Far Left Democrats waging unprecedented and illegal lawfare against President Donald J. Trump. This is odd.

They have the power to take a man off the campaign trail, take away his phone (no more rabid Truth Social rants), but they don't. It's as if they WANT him to win.

Is this some sort of ploy to cause a civil war? The left's own side has to see this as an insult to justice.

Maybe it is all kabuki.
