The frightening amount of radiation NASA's stranded astronauts have endured because of Boeing's faulty spaceship

Two NASA astronauts will endure months of intense radiation exposure after Boeing's Starliner spacecraft stranded them on the International Space Station.

Astronauts Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore have been stuck on the ISS for three months. This has already put them at risk of receiving about 40 mSv to 80 mSv of radiation, which is roughly equivalent to 120 to 240 chest x-rays.

They won't return to Earth until February 2025 at the earliest, and will have spent at least eight months in space and risked radiation exposure roughly equivalent to 310 to 630 chest x-rays.

Studies have shown that doses of radiation at that level increase long-term risk of cancer, cardiovascular disease and central nervous system damage, according to NASA.

You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists

If they stay up there for 8 months, that would be about 240 days, which would put them fourth on this list of longest-duration spaceflights.

The record-holder, cosmonaut Valeri Polyakov, stayed on the Mir space station for 437 days 18 hours, more than 14 months. That was actually his second stay on Mir; his first stay lasted 240 days. His combined time in space amounted to more than 22 months. He suffered no long-term health issues from his time in space, and lived to be 80 years old.

Other cosmonauts have actually spent longer cumulative time in space on Mir and the ISS, shorter individual stays but more of them. So far as I can tell, none of them have suffered any life-threatening injury due to their long time in space.

The longer this is happening, the more I think of Gilligan's Island

Those poor astronauts. And their families.

Those poor astronauts. And their families.

They got the Boeing capsule down last night, so now the hatch is cleared for the SpaceX to dock.
For unvaccinated, we are looking at a winter of severe illness and death — if you’re unvaccinated — for themselves, their families, and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm. Sloe Joe Biteme 12/16
I will NOT comply.
