Fret, grieve, worry about our country’s future and safety? A conversation from a few miseries ago — related by one who knew — was told to me.
The subject was could anything topple the great United States of America. And Israel’s Shimon Peres said to Russia’s Putin:
“You cannot ever beat America because it is protected by all the Generals — General Pacific, General Atlantic, General Canada, General Mexico — and the population is proportionate to the land mass.”
Donald said: “Doesn’t matter who’s vice president . . . has no impact.”
George Washington’s VP John Adams: “It’s the most insignificant office ever invented.”
