FOX NEWS POLL: Critical battleground states show narrowing race for president

Fox News Poll: Harris closes gap with Trump in Sun Belt states
Trump leads on the economy and immigration, Harris leads on abortion and uniting the U.S.

While support for Donald Trump has held steady, Kamala Harris has improved on Joe Biden’s 2024 election numbers in four battleground states, driven by strong support among women, Black voters, and young voters. In addition, while Trump leads on top issues, more voters see Harris as the one who can unite the country -- and who will "fight for people like you."  That’s according to new Fox News statewide surveys in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, and North Carolina. 

Each survey includes about 1,000 registered voters and was conducted August 23-26, post Democratic National Convention and just after Robert F. Kennedy Jr. dropped out and endorsed Trump.

The surveys, released Wednesday, find a close, two-way Harris-Trump race: Harris is up by 1 percentage point in Arizona and by 2 points in Georgia and Nevada, while Trump is ahead by 1 point in North Carolina. All are within the margin of sampling error.

With Kamala and Walz as candidates Trump should be ahead by 10 points...so discouraged.

No firm policy statements, no media interviews, no press conferences, flip-flopping on past stances, a running mate who espouses communism, and absolute cowardice on all counts…. And somehow it works for Harris.  Maybe we should praise her “brilliance” after all.  She’s beating Trump even in NC in some polling.  I was holding out hope this surge was a mere “honeymoon period,” but it appears deeper and broader than that. If she wins in November, I’m done with caring what happens to this country.  It’ll be a lost cause at that point, anyway.  Frankly, at my age, apathy might even be a bit liberating.

Gozer is losing by 15 in Arizona, and Mark Robinson is getting smoked in NC.  These are two MAGA specials hand picked by His Orangeness. 

Meanwhile “bad guy” Brian Kemp has a 64% approval rating.  I can’t wait to see who Trump chooses to deliver Georgia to the progressives in 2026.
