House Democrats say Vice President Kamala Harris is doing a better job than President Joe Biden when it comes to forging ties with lawmakers.

Before he dropped his bid for reelection, many Democrats worried Biden’s campaign was doomed for failure and were reluctant to stump for him on the campaign trail. Following Harris’s swift ascent to the top of the Democratic ticket after Biden dropped his bid and endorsed her as the party’s presidential candidate, Democratic House lawmakers said there’s a “night and day” difference in enthusiasm for performing as campaign surrogates for Harris, according to a report from Axios.
