There are growing questions about the viability of conventional carriers so I fail to see how this would change anything. :shrug:

Actually, FWIW, I have been advocating a return to the "Jeep" Carrier model, and drones are an ideal force multiplier for the concept. Offensive/defensive drone swarms with 'motherships' aloft could be the game changer, but comms and codes absolutely have to be kept secure to prevent hijacking and using drones against our own or simply crashing them to eliminate the force.
