Tim Walz was ripped by veterans for claiming he carried weapons of war into war when in fact he backed out of going to Iraq with his unit in 2005. He backtracked a little on Friday. Walz admitted he's never been to Iraq, but he is going to Chicago next weekend and that's pretty much the same thing.

The Paris 2024 Olympics staged a spectacular closing ceremony Sunday in farewell to the world's greatest athletes, and some sports were a forum for social issues. Everybody had an opinion on the controversy in Women's Olympic Boxing. But in the end, I think we can all agree that the best man won.

Watching the movie Young Winston makes me nostalgic for the Mother Country...as they say in England, Allahu Akbar!
