Marci Bowers, president of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health, went on CBS News last year to reassure viewers that gender transition surgery on minors “really is not done under the age of 18, except in severe cases,” further suggesting the number of minors who have received such surgeries is less than 60. Well, we just found out that the narrative that minors almost never get surgery is, at best, an ignorant falsehood and, at worst, a dishonest lie.

Data recently highlighted by the Manhattan Institute’s Leo Sapir show that thousands upon thousands of such surgeries have been performed on female minors in just the last few years.

“A new analysis by the Manhattan Institute, using a more up-to-date all-payer national insurance database from 2017 to 2023, found evidence of 5,288 to 6,294 ‘gender-affirming’ double mastectomies for girls under age 18,” Sapir reports for City Journal. “This includes 50 to 179 girls who were 12.5 or younger at the time of their procedure.”

A 23-year-old woman had a stroke because of testosterone and is completely paralyzed, capable of moving only her eyes. She has locked-in syndrome, a condition in which a patient is aware but cannot move or communicate verbally due to complete paralysis of nearly all voluntary muscles in the body except for vertical eye movements and blinking.
Her young life was destroyed because of transgender ideology — a vicious lie teaching vulnerable young people that they were ‘born in the wrong body.’ Was she a child when doctors started her on testosterone?  Was she informed this might happen? Of course not.
Tens of thousands of girls today are being given testosterone because they think they are boys, and doctors start them on T when they are pre-teens.

A relative of mine is male and transitioning. The mass amounts of estrogen he's been given has caused brain cancer, which quickly metastasized throughout his body. He's only been given a few months to live. The doctors could have sent him to psychotherapy but killed him instead.

Quite. It's right up his alley. Just a few minutes ago I finished reading a novel about twins experimented upon by Mengele (Entwined by Lynda LaPlante; I also recommend, on the same subject, Mischling by Affinity Konar), and I had to ask myself: who was more evil, Hitler or Mengele? It's hard to say.

It's hard to say.

If you had to venture a guess, which of those books do you think is less likely to give me nightmares?  I'd like to read one, but previously had to quit reading Patricia Cromwell's Kay Scarpetta books when they were causing sleep disturbances.

If you had to venture a guess, which of those books do you think is less likely to give me nightmares?  I'd like to read one, but previously had to quit reading Patricia Cromwell's Kay Scarpetta books when they were causing sleep disturbances.
It's been a while since I read Mischling, but it may be the less nightmare-inducing. Both contain very disturbing descriptions of Mengele's hideous experimentation on twin girls, but Entwined adds a few gruesome murders and lion attacks. I checked both out of the local library.
What finally put me off the Scarpetta books was the focus on Lucy's lesbian lovelife, btw. Enough, already. @Polly Ticks
