The entire Democrat/Socialist/Communist shtick is predicated on ENVY.
He/she has some thing, some opportunity, I think I would have wanted, therefore they are evil.
BUT if they'd had the chance, would they think they were evil if they had had it themselves?
(of course not, and the whole time they are railing against those who have or have had well, what
ever, they are busy wanting it themselves--bad enough to forcefully take it away from others or even destroy it if they think it is out of their reach)
It's the 'hook' the Communists use to get neotenic humans to join up, and it is highly effective with the emotionally immature and especially the intellectually lazy.
When two of my granddaughters were little, they were viciously competitive.
I asked one if the other had a club foot would she want one, and she promptly replied YES!
Then I explained what a club foot was. Their competition cooled, (though I must note each has had a set of twins, and each has four kids...)
