Arizona certifies abortion access measure for the November ballot

August 13, 202412:26 AM ET
By The Associated Press

Arizona voters will get to decide in November whether to add the right to an abortion to the state constitution.

The Arizona secretary of state's office said Monday that it had certified 577,971 signatures — far above the required number that the coalition supporting the ballot measure had to submit in order to put the question before voters.

The coalition, Arizona for Abortion Access, said it is the most signatures validated for a citizens initiative in state history.

“This is a huge win for Arizona voters who will now get to vote YES on restoring and protecting the right to access abortion care, free from political interference, once and for all,” campaign manager Cheryl Bruce said in a statement. ...
"Political correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it’s entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end." - Alan Simpson, Frontline Video Interview

I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

I don't believe "Republicans" in Arizona had much of anything to do with writing and then collecting the signatures for this ballot measure.

"Certifying" it to be ON the ballot is de rigueur -- a legal formality that cannot be denied.

Once again, the "Dobbs decision" is a gift that WILL KEEP ON GIVING.
For THE LEFT, that is.

Indeed, abortion looks to be "on the ballot" in almost ALL the battleground states this time around.

The Party plays to win, comrade Catfish...

Why blame the AZGOP? This is a Democrat measure.

Harris has blown past Trump in AZ already.  With abortion the most cherished sacrament for American women, this will lock that state in for Harris.

The GOP in this state doesn't even fight with Democrats, only against us.  McStain's style.

She has not "blown past" him.

She's barely ahead and Hindenburg Harris will soon nose over as she continues to push her Marxist policies.

However, it's more the looming specter of that moron Ruben Gallego that is so scrary.

Who is the GOP in this state that you allude to.

And who is "us" ?

Every party has it's schisms.  It's inevitable.  We've identified about 5 factions in our LD alone.

What do you suggest needs to happen.

Trump is barely holding on.  The way he's going, he'll single handedly blow this election.

Lake is going to sink with him it appears.

What do you suggest we do to turn this train-wreck around ?
