Tim Walz was arrested and booked for Driving Under the Influence in Nebraska in 1995.

The progressive Minnesota Governor, chosen on Tuesday as Vice President Kamala Harris' running mate, no longer drinks alcohol or coffee.

While he was initially charged with driving under the influence and speeding, Walz struck a plea deal where the charges were reduced to a single count of reckless driving.

The incident reemerged during his first run for congressional office in 2006, sparking a campaign manager to dismiss the charge and claim that Walz was not 'not drunk.' They 'attributed the misunderstanding to Walz's deafness.'

An image reportedly of Walz's mugshot is making its rounds on conservative social media in an attempt to smear the new Democratic VP pick.

The governor is a huge fan of Diet Mountain Dew, but he doesn't drink coffee and quit consuming alcohol some time after the Nebraska arrest.

I suppose that is the primary reason Democommies have in selecting a VP running mate, someone who will never threaten the POTUS holder, for no way would anyone replace him/her with the idiot holding the VP slot.  The idiocy continues.

His (criminal) inaction during the St. George Floyd riots of 2020 cost half a billion dollars in damage to Minneapolis and multiple deaths.
 Even the idiot fellow Progressive mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey, pleaded with Walz to send in the NG in force shortly after the riots broke out. Walz dithered, and the rest is (infamous) history.
Also, a ton of cases involving tax-payer money spent on Covid was maladministered resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars going down the drain. Jim Geraghty at NRO wrote a very long column detailing how bad Walz is.

He is a complete disaster.

Democrats out there don't give a flying flip about anything Walz or Harris did, said, or were called.  They are totally onboard with them because their name is not Trump, and they can carry on a conversation most of the time.  Walz's state could burn to the ground, and they wouldn't care! 

Logically thinking people, I have known most of my life have blinders on when it comes to Trump.  The world could be going to hell in a hand basket (which it is) and they'd still vote for anyone but Trump!

Since becoming President in 2016 Trump has fueled that fire.  He's smart enough to know what's he's doing, and he does it anyway!

I have been out of the workforce for 12 years, but can remember that while at the plant, positions like mine, plant manager, operations manager, and Unit Supervisors were not allowed to hold these positions, if they had a DUI conviction.  Been so long ago, but it was for some kind of DOT requirement.  Maybe that's changed...  but.......

And if it is the same, shouldn't that preclude the highest level of federal executives from qualification?

After his drunk driving arrest, he lost his job coaching the freshman football team. Nevertheless, he repeatedly subsequently described himself as head coach of the football team, i.e., the varsity. The campaign has printed signs that say "COACH!"
