'The Five' co-hosts react to liberal lawmaker Rep. Jamaal Bowman losing his New York Democratic primary.

Rep. Cori Bush, D-Mo., is getting a boost from her allies in the House's left-wing "Squad" on Monday, as her anti-Israel comments have her fighting for her political life in this week's primary elections.

"We have just ONE DAY ahead of us before primary Election Day. Come join Cori & some very special guests on Election Day eve to rally together and get out the vote!" Bush's campaign wrote on Instagram announcing the event.

It's a virtual rally to be held on Zoom at 5 p.m. Eastern Time alongside Reps. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., and Summer Lee, D-Pa.

The primary election for Rep. Cori Bush's seat is being held tomorrow and it looks like she's in trouble. Just like fellow squad member Jamaal Bowman, Bush made herself a target with her extreme anti-Israel views. As a result, millions have been poured into a campaign to take her down.
 

In Missouri’s 1st Congressional District, the pro-Israel lobby is pouring millions into a campaign to unseat Bush as part of a broader, well-funded effort to replace critics of the Israeli government and the war in Gaza, such as Bush, with more Israel-friendly Democrats. Outside groups have already spent over $15 million in this race, according to Open Secrets, a Washington nonprofit that tracks campaign finance and lobbying data. More than 80 percent of that money has gone toward ads opposing Bush and supporting her opponent.

A prominent member of the Squad of far-left Democrats, Bush was the first member of Congress to call for a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas, nine days after Hamas’s Oct. 7 attack on Israel. She has described Israel’s subsequent invasion of Gaza — which, according to the Gaza health ministry, has killed nearly 40,000 Palestinians — as a genocide.

Rep. Cori Bush spent years working as a faith healer for a religious group that claimed to have cured the Missouri Democrat's 2020 COVID case over the phone. That didn't stop Bush from blaming the roughly 100 House votes she missed last year on the virus.
 
During a virtual town hall held last week, Bush was pressed on a television ad from a group supporting her primary opponent, Wesley Bell, that dings her for missing "more votes than almost anyone in Congress." Bush dismissed the criticism as "absolutely ridiculous," blaming her inability to make votes on a debilitating bout with COVID, a video of the town hall obtained by the Washington Free Beacon shows.

"It's so absolutely ridiculous. So, this past year, you all, I got COVID, and, you know, I'm an asthmatic," Bush said. "It wasn't my first bout of COVID, but, you know, it hits me hard, and I had instances when I couldn't physically get to the [House] floor." She went on to argue that the votes she missed were inconsequential amendments.

Guy obviously seems hard left, but at least appears sane.   He was the guy that the MO Governor appointed to replace Kim Gardiner, who was the poster-girl of defund/BLM fame during the Ferguson debacle.
