Nantucket Memorial Airport manager Noah Karberg was at the mid-island Stop & Shop on Sunday when the heinous robbery occurred. “A seagull stole my wallet from the cart in Stop & Shop…last seen at Mid-Island Gas / Stop & Shop area. If you find it you can keep the cash and I’ll offer a $100 cash reward for the return of my cards and license,” he posted on the Nantucket Year-Round Community Facebook page. ...

I never lived where there are seagulls, but Mrs. Liberty lived in SoCal for many years and she says their reputation for stealing food is the stuff of legends.  I only had Ravens pulling that at the Grand Canyon.

We use to drive to Clearwater beach from our house in Tampa. One Sunday before heading home we stopped on the Boardwalk to grab some grub.  I had just handed our 6 y/o a hotdog when a Gull swept in and snatched the dog right out of the bun.  I turned back to look at Chris.  He was standing there, holding an dogless catsup stained bun in his little hand, with tears in his eyes. Oh the humanity.

They are evil. Pure evil.

I was in Cornwall one time with the wife visiting the town where they filmed "Doc Martin."
As we were walking on a sidewalk close to the sea there was a man in front of us holding an ice-cream cone in his right hand at his side about face level.
All of a sudden, a seagull swooped in from behind and took the cone right out of the guy's hand. We started to laugh at the audacity of the gulls who have probably been doing this for quite a while.
I can't remember if the guy who had his ice cream cone swiped laughed.
