I think the more pressing question to ask Scummer is whether the dims are going drop Ka-mal-uh.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

BREAKING: From inside the Trump campaign, ZERO chance they're dumping @JDVance
ZERO and the pivot to exposing @KamalaHarris
and both her weaknesses and her own "weirdness" is underway. They're ready to put Vance's support of the traditional family up against the Harris's obsession with various forms of gender intersectionality with Vance leading the debate. Story developing

In 2020, we had a stickied thread "Trump campaign videos".  Can we repeat this for this election?  @mystery-ak

Yeah, they obviously can't dump him, so going on offense is the best response they've got.  Would be great if he would've made a pro-family point without the extraneous dumb statements.  And if his proposal was just a larger deduction for children.

The Democrat idea is always government childcare, which of course screws stay at home mothers.  It also subsidizes single mothers who don't even earn enough to pay income tax.   But a larger deduction would benefit those who actually work and are productive, which are the ones we really should be subsidizing if we're going to do it at all.

More than having someone on the ticket who could help you win a battleground State like Virginia, Wisconsin, or New Hampshire?
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

Oh, I understand attempted misdirection very well.  Just not falling for it

In your mind there is nothing to be learned by going back thirty odd years and listening to the words of a man who, as it turns out, was completely precedent. Gotcha!
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Fixed it for you.

The importance of electability aside, I followed that primary season pretty closely, and don't remember Buchanan ever saying that parents should get an extra vote for each kid they have.  Nor do I remember him advocating forgiveable government loans to people just because they got married.

Do you have a link to that Buchanan speech?   Or are you just going to keep conspicuously ignoring those little details like certain others?  Is it really that difficult to admit that those were stupid ideas?
