The presumptive Democrat presidential nominee made an appearance at the American Federation of Teachers conference in Houston Thursday. In a speech at the American Federation of Teachers conference in Houston, Vice President Kamala Harris claimed the Biden-Harris administration has forgiven student loans, that Donald Trump wants to cut Medicare and Social Security, and that conservatives are banning books.
“Our administration has forgiven student loan debt for nearly five million Americans and twice as much for our public servants including our teachers,” said Harris.
The U.S. Supreme Court struck down the Biden-Harris administration’s first proposed student loan forgiveness program last year. The courts have halted their latest proposed scheme.
“Donald Trump and his allies want to cut Medicare and Social Security,” said Harris.
