EAST RIDGE, Tenn. — UPDATE (July 18th):
The man charged in the death of a Nashville restaurant owner, who also led officers in a chase through Hamilton County, is in Tennessee illegally.
That's according to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
ICE says Ulises Raigoz-Martinez is an illegal immigrant from Mexico.
In a statement to our sister station FOX17 News, ICE said...
"ERO New Orleans placed an immigration detainer on Ulises Raigoz-Martinez, 24, an unlawfully present Mexican citizen, following his arrest in Davidson County, Tennessee, for homicide, vehicle theft, and evading arrest on July 19. Raigoza entered the United States on an unknown date and location, without being admitted or paroled by an immigration officer."
