The company is called Savor and is making butter out of thin air. They capture CO2 out of the air and then turn it into butter in their lab.

They use a thermochemical process to build fat molecules and making chains of carbon dioxide, hydrogen and oxygen. Sounds yummy!

My mother told me about the ration coupons during WWII, which let people buy oleo. Apparently, all the butter was going toward the war effort. But don't worry, that white lump of fat came with a little packet of yellow coloring, so if you blended it all together, at least it looked kind of like butter!
