Shapiro would be a very smart political choice.for Kamala. He's pretty popular in Pennsylvania, which is a critical swing state. And he's a smart guy.
Whether or not he's more show than substance isn't going to matter in a campaign this short, and likely will be an asset.
He's got substance. My take is that he's a moderate liberal, not a bomber thrower or outright commie like Wolf before him, and calculates everything before acting (or not acting). Here in Pennsylvania, he knows that the tide has turned, and has adopted a lighter touch, with his eye on getting elected for a second term, and then running for President on his own in 2028.
That's why I say there is no apparent advantage for him tying himself to the Harris anchor and then sinking in the "Red Sea" with her come November.
With that said, maybe somebody's offering him some sort of very sweet deal behind the scenes to try and prop Harris up. if so then (rhetorically speaking) I hope he gets it in writing and cash up front.
