Ted Cruz Issues a Warning to Fellow Republicans After Kamala Harris Replaces Joe Biden: 'Very Worried'
By Jack Davis  July 23, 2024 at 6:37am

As the Democratic Party picks its presidential election hopes off the floor, Republican Sen. Ted Cruz says Republicans need to adjust to a combative new world in which Vice President Kamala Harris represents a formidable challenge to former President Donald Trump.

Cruz said Democrats and the media will frame Harris as a candidate chosen by the forces of noble liberal history.

For example, one NBC report about Harris gushed: “Kamala Harris has already made history as the first woman, the first black person and the first person of South Asian descent to serve as vice president of the United States.”

“If she formally secures the Democratic presidential nomination and triumphs over former President Donald Trump in the November election, she would shatter the highest glass ceiling in all of American life,” the report added.

As those reports filter throughout the media, Cruz said Republicans need to understand the depth of their challenge.

“I was very worried at the convention, and I expressed this to you at the time, which is I am afraid people were over confident at the convention that there was an air of celebration. It was we’ve won,” Cruz said on his podcast.

“Look, there’s a time for celebration, celebrate after election day, celebrate after we’ve won. Now is not the time for celebration. Now’s the time for hard work. Now’s the time for rolling up your sleeves and going to win,” he said.

The only way a Republican will win is if they find a way to stop or counter the 150 million votes the Democrats already have lined up to be counted on election day. The only way to win is to blanket every polling place with observers and lawyers to stop a repeat of 2020. No more last minute water-leak evacuations. No more blacked out windows.

80 million votes was just a test run. This year, the Democrats will be aiming for 100 to 200 million votes for whomever the Democrat is.

He is absolutely correct.  The Trump campaign is overly confident.  It was a great convention, but that does not equal Trump being seated.

Kamel and whomever she selects as her VP are going to give Trump a run for his money and I truly hope that the RNC has policies and people in place to ensure a fair election; that is first and foremost.

His rallies are frivolous if the RNC hasn't re-inforced secure measures at polling places.

I hope that the bullet that nearly took his life was a huge wake up call to him and also to his campaigners and the RNC.  The left will stop at NOTHING to retain control.

Joe stepping down changes the odds against Trump winning, Bigly!

Reflect on history.  Trump narrowly defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016.  It was a very close election.  Trump was defeated by a man who almost never left his basement, did not actively campaign, and he was beat by a huge margin in 2020.  HUGE!!!

Trump after two campaigns has learned nothing.  His efforts to win are marginal in my humble opinion.  With both his prior elections, I submitted my contact information to their website to volunteer for the campaigns, and I never was contacted.  Trump's ONLY APPROACH to his winning an election is his huge rallies.  He has no ground game whatsoever.  It is all about him.  He thinks he does not need ambassadors out there convincing people who are undecided to vote for him.

Trump's arrogance knows no bounds.  He has no idea what it takes to win elections by huge margins.  NONE!!!  He has no strategy than his appearing at huge rallies.  I am certain advisors have told him to build a ground game and he has said I don't need a ground game.  The mindset he has from conducting these rallies is that the people love me.  What he does not comprehend at all, is that the vast majority of people attending his rallies are people that are already voting for him.  BUT HE IS NOT MAKING AN EFFORT TO REIGN IN THOSE ON THE FENCE, THE UNDECIDED, THE INDEPENDENTS, ETC, AND HE IS LEAVING THOSE FOLKS FOR THE GROUND GAME I GUARANTEE THE DEMOCOMMIES ARE GOING AFTER WITH A VENGEANCE.

This is a HUGE mistake.  I learned that lesson myself years ago painfully.  The polls are misleading.  Phone calls indicating they will vote for you are utterly meaningless.  You have to have thousands of ambassadors out there talking to millions of people about why they should vote for you.  When someone comes to a person's door, and attempts to sell them on why they should vote for the candidate they represent, that effort endears that candidate to the would be voter.  That is a simple fact that Trump does not comprehend.  And that fact will result in him losing a 2nd time.

His strategy to win an election by conducting rallies did not win him the election in 2020.  It will not this time either.  This time, the Dems may not need to cheat like 2020 to win.  This assassination attempt will not produce the victory for him that he thinks it will deliver.  I have sat and watched enough people say they are voting for Biden, and now Harris, and that they would not vote for Trump.

His speech at the convention of 92 minutes cost him votes.  His off the cuff approach to his campaign is unprofessional, down right ignorant, and again strongly arrogant on his part.  The last thing I want is to see Biden, Harris or whoever the Democommies nominate to win in November, and Trump does not know how to run a successful campaign to win.

2016 was more about angst in regard to Hillary Clinton than Trump being beloved.  Trump got my vote in 2016 because he said "I will end the H1-b Visa Program DAY ONE"  He didn't end it he increased it.

Trump got my vote in 2016 because he said he would build a wall and end the influx of invading illegal aliens.  He did NOT build the wall across the southern border, and with that wide open border, Biden/Harris have flooded our country with what will end up being 20 million invading illegal aliens, none of them checked to see they are a threat to this nation or its people.

Having failed on two key promises, you think all the people in the past that voted for him will continue to vote for him?  I SURE AS HELL DON'T THINK THAT FOR A MOMENT.

And Trump is failing once again.  In 2016, he promised to do X, Y, and Z for the people of America.  He did not do that in 2020.  I kept saying, when is he going to talk about what he plans to do for the people of the USA?  He never outlined what he would do for the future, he solely ran on what he perceived to be his accomplishments, and lying and saying promises made, promises kept.  His two key promises he made, he did NOT fulfill.

So here we are again, and he is NOT spelling out what he intends to do as the 47th POTUS.  He is talking about what Biden didn't do, and that just is not enough.  Yes, the economy in my mind is sh*t, but he has to spell out what he will do for the American people.  1.6 million USA citizens lost their white collar job so that people largely from India could take their job for 30-50% of the salary and no benefits.

TRUMP HAS MET RECENTLY WITH TECH BILLIONAIRES FROM SILICON VALLEY AND PROMISED TO INCREASE H1-B VISA RECIPIENTS FURTHER, THUS UNEMPLOYING THOUSANDS MORE USA CITIZENS FROM THEIR WHITE COLLAR JOBS.  I KNOW MANY TECH FOLKS THAT WILL NOT VOTE FOR TRUMP BECAUSE THEY SEE HIM AS A LIAR.

Believe me, right now he is an underdog in this election, I don't care what the polls say.  If he is not ahead by 25 %, he does not have this election locked up.  With the total FUBAR four years of Biden/Harris, he should have a double digit lead.  And he does not have that.  And while I do not put stock in news sourced polls, like Reuters poll which put Harris ahead of Trump, the mere fact the propaganda arm of the Democommie Party is indicating Harris is leading Trump is nothing short of troubling.  Continued polls like that might just have Republicans staying home and not voting.

The Democommies are already attempting to shape this election in their direction.  Trump's approach in my mind will result in him losing again in 2024.  A ground game makes a huge difference in winning.  Think about 2020.  Trump had tens of thousands at rallies, and he was clearly beloved by the attendees.  Biden had TENS of attendees at his few public appearances, and yet he beat Trump by 6 million votes from the electorate.  BIDEN WON.  And now a candidate dumber than a box of rocks will defeat him again.  His arrogance will defeat him a 2nd time.

And since the lazy Republicans did nothing to correct the problems that helped Biden win in 2020, every effort to cheat will be made, particularly in the toss up states.  They will cheat with wild abandon if they have to, and they will win.  It is about winning.  Trump contrary to his belief he is the master of winning does not understand what is necessary to win in politics.

IT IS NOT JUST ABOUT HIM!!!  IT TAKES AN ARMY OF SUPPORTERS WORKING HARD!!!

I agree..  And as far as I am concerned, as long as the MSM is giving Harris cover,  this thing right now is dead even.

Two places Harris is vulnerable:
1) Defending various unpopular Biden policies/actions
2) Her bad 2019 primary campaign where she sought out a lane on the left flank
She will need to have good responses to both.

Two kinds of attacks that won't work?
1) Her laugh
2) "DEI hire"

In many ways, Kamala Harris's strength and weakness are the same - she is an ideological chameleon. A Kamalameleon! That's devastating for some pols but a bonus for others if she can make clear she gets the current zeitgeist.

The media is setting up Harris as the POC "comeback kid" diverse female. Cruz is right. Trump is still slightly ahead right now, but he's not in landslide territory at all.

If Trump wins in the 2025-2026, I hope he nominates Cruz to SCOTUS replacing Clarence Thomas.

That'd be bad ass.

Ted is right.  Democrats who were going to sit out rather than voting for an obviously incapacitated geriatric man will show up to vote Democrat for her, no matter how personally unpopular she may be.

This is not directed to you, but I get the impression we're still talking about this like all the Republicans have to do is get one more vote than their Democrat opponent to win the race. Hurrah. Thanks to pervasive fraud, that's wishful thinking. We have to win every race by at least 5% to overcome the Democrats' criminal vote machine.
