BREAKING: Kamala Harris Overtakes Trump in First Major Poll Since Biden Exit From Race

Vice President Kamala Harris is leading former President Donald Trump in the first major poll since President Joe Biden stepped down from his reelection campaign.

According to the latest data from Reuters/Ipsos, Harris is leading Trump in support, 44% to 42%, which falls within the survey’s three point margin of error, the latest suggestion the race between the vice president and former president will be close.

One major question in November’s race will be the effect of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an independent presidential candidate still working on gaining ballot access. Pundits have debated back and forth whether Kennedy Jr. would pull more from the Democrats, his former party, or Republicans. When Kennedy Jr. is included in a three way race in the Ipsos poll, Harris’s advantage over Trump climbs five points, with Harris getting 42% support and Trump dropping to 38%.

The poll also shows that 56% of registered voters believe Harris is “mentally sharp and able to deal with challenges.” This follows Biden exiting the raise as allies within his own party raised concerns about his stamina and age. Only 22% of voters called Biden “mentally sharp” and Trump also lagged behind Harris, scoring 49%.

The Reuters poll was conducted online among more than 1,200 adults, more than 1,000 of them registered voters.

Reuters had measured the popularity of Harris compared to Trump before, with the pair scoring an even 44% and Trump leading the vice president by one point in earlier July polls. The latest polling marks an improvement for Harris who has trailed Trump in a number of recent polls. Harris has already secured the needed amount of delegates to secure the Democratic Party’s nomination and been endorsed by party leaders, including Biden.

We saw this already in 2008 and 2012. Mitt Romney in 2012 did better than Obama amongst independent voters and Barack Obama lost 3 to 4 million votes from his 2008 total and still beat Romney

Quinnipiac poll: Trump, Harris race too close to call

Quinnipiac University poll released on Monday.

The poll results came the day after President Joe Biden announced a decision to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race. Biden endorsed Harris to be the Democratic party nominee.

According to the results, 49 percent of voters supported Trump and 47 percent of voters supported Harris. There was no clear leader as the lead was within the poll’s margin of error.

This is good, even if it is a lie. Polls like this invest the media and the Democrat Party into staying with 'the cackler', which is what we all want. Nevermind her being an actual real 'woman', and her misidentification as a so-called 'Black Woman'. Even with all that, she is still a flaming imbecile.

The more headlines I see like this, the better. I will feel that much more secure with each one. My worry is that they will swap this laughing idiot out for a real normal person at the convention. Kamala has polled less popular than Biden for as long as I can remember and it will go back there once the big relief celebration is over.

The Democrats and some NeverTrumpers are going through a kind of passing ecstasy at getting rid of bumbling Biden, but Kamala cannot transform overnight into a world-class persona. She is what she is and that cannot change.

The fight here is STILL between the Clinton faction vs. the Obama faction. You're gonna get a liberal, either way. And it's on Obama's home turf - That's a tell. The spoiler faction is California (or rather, west coast), and I would not be surprised to see them levering Noisome into position. Hard telling. It's a craps shoot which way the dice will bounce.

That part won't matter much. Tumpy doesn't do research. His arguments against his foes are largely lies. He's a wrecking ball. anything to wreck em is fine... So the same thing, no matter what, no matter who. Denigration is his tool, not fact. So it'll take him a weekend to rejigger and figure out the next sophomoric thing to say against the new guy, and  it'll be off to the races.

BUT in that, if they don't raise up a predictable party boss - Let's say they raise up a soft spoken female... That would be Tumpy's nemesis. Trying to wreck someone who is polite and well spoken will turn the pity card away from him.  He needs to look like a martyr. If he doesn't have that, he will lose. If people feel sorry for the one he is wrecking, it will flip in a second.

They are the most biased (to the extreme left) polls out there.  Even Quinnepiac disagrees with this poll.
