Kamala Harris Reportedly Prepared to Clean House in Biden Cabinet — Dumping Secretaries of State, Defense and More

Democratic presumptive nominee Kamala Harris is reportedly planning an overhaul of the national security team if she wins the presidency in a shake-up that would see the ousting of key Biden appointees.

National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin face being cut from the cabinet according to current and former officials speaking with the Wall Street Journal.

The news comes as Blinken offered his support of Harris, calling her a “leading voice for American foreign policy” in the Biden administration.

Meanwhile, Harris’ national security adviser Philip Gordon is poised to play a central role in the new administration. Gordon, who previously served as the top State Department official for Europe under former President Barack Obama and later as a senior White House official on Middle East issues.

While Biden recovers from a Covid infection, Harris has stepped into presidential duties as surrogate ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visit to Washington D.C. Harris will meet with Netanyahu at the White House but will miss his Congressional address on Wednesday.

Harris has been more vocal on Palestinian issues than Biden—  in just one of several potential breaks with his approach to world affairs. Although, if elected, she is expected to maintain many of his foreign policy goals, including strong support for Ukraine and efforts to strengthen alliances in Asia and the Pacific.

We would do well not to underestimate that woman. She has already demonstrated she will go to great lengths to get power, and may prove even more ruthless than Hillary.

Ditching current cabinet members would likely occur because they are too conservative for her plans. Think about what that would look like.

And it would put her in a position to say “I’m cleaning out the people who are responsible for the Afghanistan withdrawal debacle”

It’s still not gonna be easy-going for her. She still very vulnerable on the border. That was the job she was given and she messed that up


But she’s more anti-Israel than Biden is. That will get voters out for her in Michigan that were going to withhold their vote for Biden
