EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Three people were recently arrested after they allegedly kidnapped 12 migrants in Ciudad Juarez, according to the Secretariat of Public Safety of the State (Secretaría de Seguridad Pública del Estado).
The Secretariat says Jairo P.Z, 42, Daniel P.Z, 23, and Ashley T.M, 28, were arrested after officials received a report of three suspicious individuals in the streets of the Praderas del Sol. Officials later located the individuals with surveillance footage.
The migrants who were allegedly kidnapped are from Guatemala, Honduras, Ecuador, and El Salvador. The Secretariat says they were physically and sexually abused.
A firearm, a magazine, and some cartridges were seized after the individuals were arrested, according to the Secretariat.
