I don't understand this strategy? If they did the crime, would it not be a lone bright spot on her record that she actually went after criminals. I understand that the black community might not like it, but justice should be color blind, (do the crime and do the time). Especially if there was not a two-tier system of giving blacks less time than their counterparts.

Perhaps someone would fill me in on why this is a stain on her suck-up career as a DA?

It isn't that people didn't do crimes its her disproportionately seeking and getting harsher sentences for Blacks. She is just as big a racist as Joe.

I guess it is a subject I need to research. Justice should be fair to criminals, both (regardless of race) should be given the same time for the same crime. (Often in California and most liberal cities it is right the opposite now days). Perhaps if one is especially heinous, more time, but you know what I am getting at.  Maybe past criminal history should also play a role. Another factor is perhaps Blacks tend to fall "victim" (<-- oxymoronic term) to the 3 strikes and your out laws, because odds are they did the (3) crimes and thus had mandatory longer sentences because of their own actions.

I guess I should do my own homework, but if someone has a good link I would appreciate it. Thanks for bringing this to my attention @GtHawk

As of now, I honestly can't find fault in "being tough on crime"... because I want crime punished instead of ignored.

Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz warned Republicans against underestimating Vice President Kamala Harris as she emerges as the top contender for the Democratic Party's nomination for president.

"Republicans, I worry, vastly underestimate Kamala Harris. They don't think very highly of her. They don't think she's terribly bright. When you or I bring up Kamala Harris' name in Republican circles, people laugh. It's immediately a punchline," Cruz said Monday on his podcast "Verdict with Ted Cruz."

Cruz warned against Republicans preemptively celebrating a Trump-Vance win months out from the election, arguing Democrats and the media will promote Harris as an "historic" candidate.

"I think people are underestimating what billions of dollars of free media, of the entire corrupt corporate media complex, pitching her as a combination of Mother Teresa, Oprah and Gandhi," Cruz said.

"I still think Trump wins in November, but this is not a layup. It is not given.… If you're a Democrat, what makes you nervous is chaos, and this much chaos 100 days out is scary. But you know what? Even more scary is going to an election where you're almost certain to lose, which is where Biden was," he continued.

Media getting increasingly pathetic by the minute in their campaign for Kamala.  Race, faith, genitalia, tough prosecutor, fund-raising phenom, and on and on.  Suddenly, Kamala the disaster is Kamala the wonder woman (or is that pronoun?).  The media that lied to America about Biden now lies to America about Kamala.

For example, did you know that Kamala Harris's husband is Jewish?  Oh yes, he has been full-throated in his denunciation of the antisemites in his party and in the streets.  Actually, not.  Well, then, he has been fully supportive of Israel's battle against Hamas.  Uh, well, no.  But his wife, Kamala, and his daughter, have been actively speaking in defense of Israel.  Nope, quite the opposite.  His daughter hates Israel and Kamala celebrated the rioters (just not the more extreme elements, she said).

Trump and the various PACs supporting him need to hit hard on alleging everyone of Biden's failures is on Kamela's hands, besides pointing out that she did nothing to solve the border problem. She's just Biden with female genitalia, if I may be so indelicate.
