Anyone still arguing Trump is a threat to democracy is a joke. Democrats just wiped out their entire primary system to replace their candidate with roughly 3,000 party elites voting. The will of their primary voters didn’t matter at all. They staged an actual insurrection.

Biden should resign immediately.

If he were to, Kamala would become President and she would be running for reelection. Staying in office prevents that.

This is actually a very dangerous time for Trump. If the Democrats can get their ducks in a row before their convention, they will have the country's eyeballs on them and their newly-coronated nominee. And if they play their cards right, it will be a fresh face like Shapiro. It could also go the other way, with a lot of blood in the water before it is over. Whatever happens, they have the complete attention of the country, and if they do not squander it, Trump could see his lead erased almost instantaneously.

Many of us predicted Biden would drop out as soon as the republicans were stuck with Trump. 

Problem for the dems is now they are stuck with Harris.  Or are they?  Democrats have proven ruthless when threatened with the loss of power.

Looks like my prediction since Biden was inaugurated that he would not be the candidate for 2024 has proved to be correct. For a while I had my doubts as it seemed like decrepit, senile Joe would refuse to go.
With Biden announcing he won't run before the convention, the Dems avoided one potential catastrophe.....having Biden officially nominated and then he says he won't run messing up all the delegates pledged to him.
I have no idea of the rules governing these things. Does this mean that all the delegates pledged to Biden have now evaporated? If so, it means the Dems would be free to pick whomever.
Unfortunately for the Dems, they face a potential revolt from black voters if the totally incompetent Harris is not nominated.
However, the best choice to challenge Trump would be somebody other than Harris. Harris may keep the blacks from revolting, but it won't help get the moderates.....the middle third of the voters who determine who gets elected. I wouldn't pick Gov. Gruesome either. Too much leftist baggage.
The Dems are still in a bind. But with Biden out of the race, they now have a slightly better chance.

Yep. With so many hating both Trump and Biden, a fresh face without the baggage would be very attractive to a lot of people. This is what I've been expecting.
