This is a BFD in Arizona right now, because we are in the middle of Early Voting for the 7/30 Primary.  Yes....systems that were guaranteed NOT to be on the Internet crashed with CrowdStrike.

Come to your own conclusions.

Guaranteed NOT to be on the internet during elections is  not the same as never being on the internet. Just updating is an horrendous problem without a network connection. Say... 300 something machines, all updated by hand?

Nope. Of course they are connected.

You see, this is my point:  All the machines were talking to CrowdStrike.  While an elections is going on, and it's happening now in Maricopa and Pima (Tucson).

Reminds me back when I supported around 30 machines that were not networked and I had to change my passwords on each one of them every 30 days. Networking them sure made it a lot easier for me. If it was 300 machines, I would've found another job.

Or were 'ALL the Machines' talking to a server that was talking to Cloudstrike for the purposes of tallying?

I know - A distinction without a difference.
But I don't have enough information to say that Cloudstrrike makes cheating definitive.

No, CrowdStrike is plowing the road for the really nefarious actions.

Exactly right... My kid used an Arduino concoction to get around resetting/updating 300 Droid tablets.... It was such a drag.... He saved himself a whole bunch of time, but even with that, had to set them up 25 at a time, and have the Arduino rub em off, fire em back up and go through the preliminary stuff to get them restored and updated....

Even 25 at a time was arduous. And maintaining 25 thumbs to correctly do the work was equally arduous in and of itself.... Worth doing, but still. And that in a pure Google environment, which is pretty good to work with.

Folks don't often think of that angle.

They only needed to get enough votes to pick off a few 'battleground' states. THeir total lead was (IIRC, for all states combined) around 250,000 votes in those 5 states (PA GA MI WI AZ)

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Scientists, like all discoverers of truth, have always asked, "What?” “How?” “Why?” “What if?” and “Why not?” Questioning science is science.
