In the last year of his life, my father with Lewy body dementia absolutely couldn't understand how to get into the car. Like Joe, he'd try to climb in head first, instead of sitting his rear on the seat and swinging his legs into the car. My mother had a terrible time trying to take him anywhere - it took forever.
As I've said before, Joe's behaviors are all too familiar, especially these past few months.
