Researchers in South Korea say they’ve developed a new way to make lab-grown meat taste like the real deal. It may look like a transparent, bubble gum pink-colored disc, but scientists hope it could revolutionize the meat on people’s plates.

Lab-grown meat — also called cultured meat or cell-based meat — is emerging as an alternative to conventional meat, offering the same nutritional benefits and sensory experience without the carbon footprint

On the ship I was aboard, we had two special cuts of meat known as gross beast and mystery meat.  I would guess they are still popular in the Navy.  There was no way to tell what kind of meat it was but at least it looked like meat not a blob of puke.

In 2023, the US Department of Agriculture gave the green light for two companies — Good Meat and Upside Foods — to begin selling their cultured chicken products, becoming the second jurisdiction after Singapore where consumers could buy it.

If it is "lab grown", it isn't chicken (or beef).

The livestock industry would do well to get ahead of this and NOT let the lab grown stuff use the names of animal derived food.
