Illegal Migrant Wanted for Child Rape Lived in Massachusetts

BOSTON, MA — Federal immigration authorities have arrested an illegal migrant wanted in Ecuador on child rape charges. The arrest was made by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in western Massachusetts last month, the agency announced on Tuesday.
 
The Ecuadorian national, who remains unidentified, entered the United States unlawfully in 2021. He is wanted in his home country for allegedly raping a child.

“This Ecuadorian fugitive is facing some very serious charges, but instead of facing the justice system, he fled and attempted to take refuge in Massachusetts,” said Todd Lyons, Director of the Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston Field Office, in a statement regarding the arrest.
