I can't help but wonder with all that has happened in reaction to the debate, what RFK Jr's next move is.

Liberal newspapers, Biden media allies pressure president to drop out of race: 'His hubris is infuriating'

President Biden is facing growing calls from members of the media, editorial boards, pundits and more to drop out of the race following a debate performance that caused anxiety among members of the Democratic Party.

Newspapers across the country and even his own fervent supporters in the press are begging him to get out for fear of former President Trump winning again, but so far he isn't budging.

"Biden is not the man he was four years ago," The New York Times editorial board wrote on Friday. "The president appeared on Thursday night as the shadow of a great public servant. He struggled to explain what he would accomplish in a second term. He struggled to respond to Mr. Trump’s provocations. He struggled to hold Mr. Trump accountable for his lies, his failures and his chilling plans. More than once, he struggled to make it to the end of a sentence."

The editorial board went on to call Biden's candidacy a "reckless gamble" and said that there are other Democrats "better equipped to present clear, compelling and energetic alternatives to a second Trump presidency."...............

I had to laugh when Kennedy offered himself as the substitute Democrat candidate.

Name one of these newspapers that endorsed someone other than Biden for the Democrat nomination.  You can't find one.  If not for Biden trailing in the polls, every one of these media outlets would be covering for him.

All this nonsense you read about how “only Biden can make the decision to leave” is just so absurd. That’s not how the Democratic Party works. No individual is more important than the collective. That’s the whole point of the party.

And in Biden’s specific case, he’s got no constituency in Washington. Yes, Ron Klain and 85-year-old Ted Kaufman benefit directly from his presidency, but it’s a small group. The rest of the city has no loyalty to Biden. They don’t care about him; they’ve never taken him seriously. Any president works for them as long as he’s a Democrat. It’s never personal with these people because the individual doesn’t matter.

Bernstein: Sources Say ’15 Occasions’ in Last Year and a Half that Biden Appeared as He Did at Debate

Monday, during an appearance on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360,” veteran journalist and CNN contributor Carl Bernstein said that last week’s debate was not the first time President Joe Biden appeared out of it.

Nate Silver expects ‘further decline ahead’ in Biden polls after debate

by Sarah Fortinsky - 07/02/24 8:35 AM ET

Pollster Nate Silver, the founder of ABC’s FiveThirtyEight, said he expects to see “some further decline” in President Biden’s poll numbers, as post-debate surveys are published in the days and weeks ahead.

Silver’s “2024 Silver Bulletin presidential election forecast” tipped slightly in former President Trump’s favor Monday evening, after the first batch of post-debate polls were released. The results proved to be “mostly poor for Joe Biden,” the pollster said in his latest update.

Trump leads Biden by 2.7 percentage points in Silver’s model’s national polling average, and Biden’s win probability dropped to 28 percent, down from 35 percent on debate night, per the forecast. Silver said he expects polls to continue in the same direction.

“Our guess is that more likely than not, there’s some further decline ahead: the model is trying to figure out whether this is random noise, but instead it’s almost certainly caused by a challenging first debate for Biden. It’s not great news for the president,” he wrote Monday.

lol…. Bullshit

People like him did everything they could to try to hide from and dismiss concerns the public had regarding Biden’s serious and pronounced decline

Now it’s going to be “I noticed it before the debate” CYA from them all. Wait till Joe Scarborough tries claiming the same thing

If I was a Democrat, I would be  furious with the party.
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

Longtime Biden Senate colleague calls for 'new candidate' after Biden debate performance: 'Disaster'
Tom Harkin served in the Senate with Biden from 1985-2009
By Andrew Mark Miller Fox News
Published July 1, 2024 4:06pm EDT

Former Iowa Sen. Tom Harkin, who served with President Biden in Congress for over 20 years, is calling on Democrats to pressure the president into bowing out of the 2024 race following his widely panned debate performance.

Harkin told Julie Gammack's Iowa Potluck following the debate that voter perception is that Trump is the candidate best "able to take command of a situation and control the outcome."

"Of course, Trump’s answers were meandering, gobbledygook, and full of lies, BUT they were said with force and directness," the 84-year-old Harkin said.

"I also think all incumbent Democratic Senators should write to Biden asking him to release his delegates and step aside so the convention can choose a new candidate," Harkin added. "A couple of governors may need to do the same."
