Sanctuary Politicians Need to Stop Lying and Admit the Obvious

Sanctuary politicians are getting nervous, and understandably so. The public is outraged over the surge of high-profile crimes allegedly committed by illegal aliens including the recent murder of 12-year old Jocelyn Nungaray in Houston, the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl in New York City, and the Maryland rape and murder of Rachel Morin, mother of five.
But, like children caught red-handed breaking a vase, public officials who support sanctuary policies that harbor illegal aliens and compromise public safety simply blame others, denying any responsibility for their role in creating the ensuing chaos.
“We need to fix a broken immigration system” is a persistent – yet pathetic and empty – excuse used by stammering sanctuary politicians trying to explain why their city’s crime rates are rising and why public coffers are being drained dry. Those who default to this evasion demonstrate utter contempt for voters; virtually everyone now knows the phrase is simply a code word for “amnesty” which fixes nothing because it simply incentivizes future flows of illegal aliens.
We all got the memo long ago.
