Biden’s weak closing statement is the nail in the coffin

President Joe Biden‘s closing statement in the presidential debate was representative of his objectively awful performance.

Though there were certainly some confrontational moments earlier in the debate, Biden shockingly decided not to attack former President Donald Trump in his closing statement. Despite his divisive nature, Biden opted to discuss the tax system, Trump’s proposed tariffs, and Medicare. There were no comments about abortion, Trump’s character, Jan. 6, or other cultural issues that Biden could have weaponized.

It’s difficult to understand where this strategy came from, but it was reflected throughout the rest of the debate as well. Biden, somehow, thinks that the public will buy the narrative that his presidency has anything to do with the idea that we’re still “the greatest country in the world.” He referenced the fact that other world leaders would love to be in his position and, of course, cited mass job growth and spoke highly of the economy.

Equal parts patronizing and deceitful, Biden proved to the entire country that he’s no longer the (relatively) charismatic person he used to be. That narrative used to sell back in his heyday, but it was clear Thursday night that Biden is an angry old man who has zero leadership skills. He got upset multiple times, mumbled through answers, and looked genuinely scared at certain moments.

His weak closing statement, in which he essentially said nothing, perfectly summed up his entire performance. It’s truly shocking that he didn’t attack Trump in these final moments. His entire campaign has had nothing to do with himself and everything to do with Trump.

He should have spent two weeks at Camp David instead of just one.

I only watched the first half of the debate, so I watched his closing remarks on YouTube.  How absolutely pathetic.  The guy was absolute toast; stammering, almost whispering, and it was truly sad to see him struggle and even more sad that this is our leader.  How absolutely disheartening, disgusting and shameful!

Under what reality did Biden bring down the deficit???

$2 trillion deficit under him.
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.
