He's absolutely correct.

Ted Cruz: 80% Chance Democrats Replace Biden With Michelle Obama

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) reacted to the Biden-Trump presidential debate on Friday's broadcast of his podcast: "The debate just ended. And I have to say we have just witnessed what I believe is the most consequential presidential debate in US history. Sometimes a debate change things, sometimes they don't. I believe to buy tonight's debate, change things fundamentally. And I believe the odds have now skyrocketed, I believe the odds are north of 80% that the Democrat Party will remove Joe Biden from the ticket and replace him. And I believe they are likely to replace Joe Biden with Michelle Obama because Biden did so disastrously badly tonight, that Democrats across the country are in utter freefall and complete panic. We're going to break all that down tonight."

Michelle Obama for president? Ted Cruz thinks she could be the Democratic nominee

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, a Texas Republican, doubled down on his prediction that Democrats will “dump Biden” and tap former First Lady Michelle Obama as their party’s nominee. “Watching Biden’s excruciating debate performance tonight, I believe the odds are now greater than 80% that the Dems dump Biden,” Cruz said in a post on X, formerly called Twitter, during Thursday’s presidential debate. “Nine months ago, on Verdict I predicted that the Dems would replace Biden with Michelle Obama. I think that’s going to happen.” Cruz on his podcast “Verdict” in September said: “So here’s the scenario that I think is perhaps most likely and most dangerous. In August of 2024, the Democrat kingmakers jettison Joe Biden and parachute in Michelle Obama. ... I view this as a very serious danger.”....................

........Obama has said she will not run for president. When reached for comment, a spokesperson for the first lady reiterated this point, sending a previous statement from March 2024. “As former First Lady Michelle Obama has expressed several times over the years, she will not be running for president,” Crystal Carson, director of communications for the Office of Michelle Obama, said at the time. “Mrs. Obama supports President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ re-election campaign.” A spokesperson for Biden’s campaign did not immediately return a request for comment. A source close to the campaign said Joe Biden will be the Democratic nominee, pointing out that Biden is the only candidate to ever defeat Trump and adding that the fight to win will continue until November. Biden could have performed better, but there’s historical president for incumbent presidents preforming badly in their first debate, the source said............

I find it interesting that he's making that prediction, and no, I didn't watch that particular podcast in which he made the prediction nine months ago.

Since Obama left the White House, the “Michelle Obama‘s gonna run” rumors have existed

She’s not running. She will campaign vigorously for whoever replaces Biden, though

I know if her lips are moving they aren't.

Except one time.  When she said it was the first time she had ever been proud of her country at 45 years old.

I have been saying Mike the Mooch Wookie would be the choice for a couple of years now.......

Yeah, she might be giving faux disdain for taking the office, but once it is advertised as her selflessly sacrificing herself for the good of the country?

Shit, this thing couldn't be Hollywood scripted better.

Hillary lurks in the shadows, pulling strings with her connections in the New York media.

The dems are going to be smart about this.  Their party bigwigs do not have to navigate around a personality cult.  Kamala is obviously unqualified, Michelle even moreso, and both come with terrible personalities.  Newsom has a poor record as governor.  They will probably go with a midwest governor along with Jeffries or another midwest politician as vice, Shapiro of PA being another option.

If Joe steps down, per the constitution Kamel is next in succession.  So, at this point if they are planning to insert someone they would have to have her step down as well.

Joe is the presumptive nominee -- they would have to change the rules at the convention and insert someone else -- so -- in essence DEM voters don't get to pick the nominee??

Also -- wouldn't they need to delay the general election?? Aren't  they starting to print the ballots and what about the delegates pledged to Joe?

I still think that the eventual  DEM ticket will include Big Mike.  Obama is running the show and this has been the plan for quite some time. He wants his 3rd term or perhaps it should be considered his 4th.

I bet she's maneuvering behind the scenes right now to either replace Biden or Harris with herself (in the expectation that Biden won't last).

Hillary had a hard time campaigning and getting around when she ran in '16.  That was 8 years ago; I highly doubt her health has improved as she is 76 years old.  Her political career did end what she lost to Trump.  She may hit the campaign trail, to help DEMS on the ticket but she has become irrelevant and 8 years ago she couldn't even make it to her own campaign stops on time, had trouble with stairs and had some 'bobble head' moments.

Hillary is NOT in play.

Joe won’t resign the office unless they are trying to boost Kamala’s resume.  He can just withdraw as a candidate (like LBJ) and release his delegates.  The dems have plenty of money to provide for his beloved son.

Ballot access is a hurdle in a few states, though I expect the laws to change if Biden withdraws before the convention.  Or, his electors could just vote for the democrat nominee in those places.

Big Mike is a nonstarter.  Who wants to read about Barack chasing men around the WH for the next eight years?

The DCommunists can replace kamala (sutra) at the convention, if they really want to.
It's been done before.

That's how Harry Truman became VP, replacing the strange/socialist-communist Henry Wallace in 1944.

They knew Roosevelt wouldn't last much longer, and that they could not have a communist sympathizer as president. Remember this was 80 years ago (not now, with the commies firmly in control of the dem party...).

Just because kids are afraid of the Boogeyman doesn't make the Boogeyman real.  And just because Republicans are afraid of a Michele O candidacy doesn't make it real either.  It's literally something that appears to exist only in GOP nightmares, because there isn't even the barest hint of it being a reality otherwise.

Release his delegates to whom???? Joe ran unopposed.  Again, per the constitution Kamel would become president. Unless the DNC plans on inserting or selecting another candidate at the convention .... but again can they bypass Harris???

I hate to sound morbid, but given his mental and physical state, I'm not so sure Joe is even going to make it to this coming election.
