Doctors concerned following Biden’s debate performance

.

Doctors worldwide have used their expertise to speculate about the mental fitness of President Joe Biden following his numerous freezes and gaffes during the first debate of the 2024 general election.

Beginning within the first 15 minutes of Thursday’s debate against former President Donald Trump, Biden, 81, uttered a string of incoherent responses and froze several times. His performance led prominent Democratic strategists to comment at the end of the event that senior players in the party are very concerned with the president’s condition.

Although it is impossible for any physician to give a diagnosis of any patient without a direct examination, doctors are debating whether Biden’s showing is indicative of an abnormal neurological disorder or normal age-related mental changes.

“Being like Biden is not a normal part of aging,” forensic psychologist Carole Lieberman told the Washington Examiner following the president’s showing.

Either he has some kind of delayed affect from aneurisms and meds to treat them, he's got Parkinsons...or he actually does have dementia and was sundowning.

Maybe they need to schedule the next debate earlier in the day.

Maybe they screwed up the drug mix. They'd need something with an 'up front' lift to get him going, but something else to keep that plateaued so he could continue to perform. The second element didn't kick in, or maybe they overdid it.

In the past, when Biden was due to give a speech, he was pretty much always late, sometimes very late. My bet was they were getting the mix just right and sent him out when he peaked. For events with a hard start time it causes major problems for his chemist.

Doctors are seeing his decline now?  What about in f***ing 2020 when he was him-hawing, sputtering and  slurring his words?

He wasn't down in the polls back then as bad as he is presently, plus he did not have a horrible record he could lie about.  Now he is in quicksand, and all of a sudden he is failing mentally.  BULLSH*T!!!!!!!!!!

As Trump said today, 'it is not his age, he is just incompetent.'  And Trump is exactly right.  From his first day in Congress, Wrecking Ball Joe was incompetent, and remained so for 50+ years.

WHAT IS GENUINELY DEPRESSING IS THAT THE AMERICAN VOTERS ARE DUMB ENOUGH TO VOTE FOR THIS POS.  He is literally NOT functional.  I ask, who wipes his backside, because he is literally at that stage of life?

But Biden reassured us last night, when he said "we finally beat Medicare".  I think that simple statement says it all.

TOTALLY OUT TO LUNCH!!!!!!! DINNER TOO!!!!!!!!!!!

The clandestine part of my thinking wonders if they knowingly under medicated or faux medicated him.

New: Inside the White House, there are sometimes two Biden’s.
America saw the other one Thursday night.
My look inside the WH and why Thursday left some Biden aides shaken and worried  whether Biden can do another four-year term.

Two Joe Bidens: The night America saw the other one
Alex Thompson
June 29, 2024

The past 36 hours showcased two Joe Bidens: the veteran president rallying voters in a swing state, and an 81-year-old man struggling to string thoughts together in a debate.

Why it matters: The public split screen isn't new to many inside the White House, where top aides have meticulously stage-managed minutiae such as Biden's sleep schedule, his orthopedic shoes, his walks to Marine One and his climb aboard Air Force One to try to blunt concerns about his age.

    * Internally, many aides have seen flashes of an absent-minded Biden, but typically brush them off as ordinary brain farts because they usually see him engaged, eight current and former Biden officials told Axios.

But Thursday's debate has shattered the White House's efforts to show Biden at his best: a president capable of serving until 2029, when he'd be 86. ...

Between the lines: Biden's miscues and limitations are more familiar inside the White House.

    * The time of day is important as to which of the two Bidens will appear.
    * From 10am to 4pm, Biden is dependably engaged — and many of his public events in front of cameras are held within those hours.
    * Outside of that time range or while traveling abroad, Biden is more likely to have verbal miscues and become fatigued, aides told Axios.

Thursday's 90-minute debate began at 9pm ET.

    * Afterward, CNN's cameras captured First Lady Jill Biden gingerly helping her husband descend the few stairs by the podium.  ...

Doctors express concern about Biden’s apparent cognitive issues during debate: 'Troubling indicators'
After the debate, Dr. Marc Siegel and Dr. Brett Osborn shared concerns about Biden's 'struggles to maintain a coherent narrative'
By Melissa Rudy , Angelica Stabile Fox News
Published June 29, 2024 1:52pm EDT

The first presidential debate of 2024 left many Americans and even some traditional Democratic allies wondering about President Biden’s mental fitness for office based on what appeared to be his unclear train of thought at times and his raspy voice on Thursday night.

The White House responded to these concerns, claiming that the president, who is 81, was fighting a cold, but some doctors said they perceive the health issues go beyond the sniffles — with one noting that "it is an issue of fitness, not of age."

Dr. Brett Osborn, a Florida neurosurgeon who specializes in cognitive function, told Fox News Digital on Friday about his concerns.

"President Biden's performance in [Thursday] night’s debate reignited longstanding discussions about his cognitive abilities and his overall leadership capacity," Osborn told Fox News Digital.

"Throughout the evening, Biden struggled to maintain a coherent narrative, often losing his train of thought mid-sentence, and providing vague, rambling and undecipherable answers to highly critical questions," said Osborn, expressing his professional opinion.

"His frequent pauses, stumbling over words and reliance on notes underscored concerns about his mental acuity," Osborn added.

These seeming signs of cognitive decline highlight a "growing inability" to manage the complexities required by the job of the presidency, according to the neurosurgeon.

"His difficulty in articulating clear, concise responses and his apparent disorientation during the debate were seen by many – including his own constituents – as very troubling indicators of his overall health and an obvious decline in his cognitive function," Osborn said.

..and it took a debate on national television with millions watching for doctors ad the DEMS to be concerned??  Nope.  Not buying it.  They've known all along.  It was a set up...they jacked him up enough so he didn't stumble and could walk onto the stage, but other than that, he had a difficult time.  Shame on all of them!
